“Google it!” How many times have you heard or said this yourself…testament to the power of Google, the Internet’s leading search engine.
How exactly Google reads & ranks your business’s website to provide instantaneous search results is much like the answer to the question, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?…the world may never know. To quote Google, “PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms.” Just last year Google added 450 algorithmic search improvements…mind numbing to say the least. That being said, there are effective steps you can take to optimize your website for Google and other significant search engines. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is crucial to successful search engine ranking.
I focus on just one subject…inbound link building, for this first article as it bears the greatest weight in improving your page ranking.
Boost your Link Popularity
When it comes to search engine ranking…it pays to be ultra popular! There are blogs and articles galore that focus on just this one subject alone. Entire industries specialize in SEO and link building. Why? Inbound link building is the single most effective way to increase your site’s page ranking! By acquiring (free or paid for) links that point to your web site, you can dramatically improve your page ranking. Inbound links, especially industry relevant inbound links, account for up to 60% of page ranking. Following are some simple suggestions that you can do now to get started!
Get Published!
Free Article Directory Sites, like isnare.com and articlesnatch.com, are websites specifically set up just to collect content. These sites then allow visitors to copy the content and use it on their websites or blogs with the caveat of also publishing the author and author’s link. You can write articles on your area of expertise and submit them to these Article Directory sites, thus obtaining inbound links everytime your article is picked up (not to mention the links you acquire from submitting your article in the first place). If writing articles is not your forte, considering hiring a copywriter to write a series of articles, about 400 to 500 words each (the number required by most article directories). Take the time to investigate and submit to as many article directories as time allows and makes sense. It is always wise to read the rules for writing before you submit any article.

Hey, My contribution: Here’s a new article directory that’s perfect for article marketing.. http://www.smarticledirectory.com Will be back soon, Charles
Recently I have discovered this great new site einformationsource. This site would allow you to submit articles about your new venture. Since it is newer the comments that you place gain increased visibility. The site also allows the author to place links to products they promote. I know from experience many sites do not allow this. Hope this is useful to someone. Have a great day.
